The afternoon nap allows you to lower your blood pressure and reduce the production of cortisol, a hormone that modulates stress.
Train your brain
Contrary to popular belief, your brain, if trained, can age more slowly than in your body. Read, take music lessons or language or cultivate new hobbies can help the brain stay young and healthy. Some studies have also found that certain video games may help older people keep the mind active.
Make physical activity
We all know that exercise is a key ingredient to stay healthy. A recent study found that walking at a moderate pace helps prevent high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and coronary heart disease. Compared to other forms of exercise, walking does not require a big effort to your body and can be beneficial as lowering of blood sugar levels, improved digestion, improved mood and sleep.
